Tickster guides you through a visual scan of your dog’s coat using your phone’s camera. It highlights possible tick candidates, records confidence information, and saves each completed scan to the selected dog’s Care Timeline. Tickster does not diagnose disease, confirm that a finding is a tick, recommend treatment, or replace veterinary care. Contact your veterinarian if you find an embedded tick, your dog seems unwell, or you have health concerns.

No. Tickster performs its visual scan analysis on the phone using local models and does not send camera images to an LLM API for analysis. Snapshot saving is optional and off by default. If you enable it, selected scan snapshots can be stored with your Tickster account so you can review them later or share useful context with your veterinarian.
Yes. Once you are signed in and your membership access is active, the core camera scan and local visual analysis can operate without a continuous internet connection. Internet connectivity is required for account access, subscription verification, cloud synchronization, optional snapshot uploads, and online weather or local tick-awareness information. Pending information can synchronize when a supported connection becomes available.
Tickster offers Monthly and Annual auto-renewable membership plans on both the Apple App Store and Google Play. In the United States, Monthly is US$9.99 and Annual is US$59.99; prices in other regions are set by the store and shown before you confirm. Both plans provide the same Tickster membership features. Eligibility, introductory offers, renewal terms, billing management, and cancellation options are presented and managed by Apple or Google before you confirm a purchase.
Completed scan records are associated with your Tickster account and the dog you selected. Saving snapshot images is optional and off by default; you can enable it in Settings if you want visual context for later review or veterinarian discussions. Location permission is also optional and foreground-only, and is used to add local tick-awareness and weather context. Tickster does not use background location.
